According to Jon Cooper, President of NexPhase, "We have worked closely with Intertek on this UL 1598 and UL 8750 testing and we are excited that we have passed all required independent testing for our generation led high bay light product. These Underwriter Laboratory compliance and safety tests are essential to have in order to sell LED lighting product in commercial applications. We expect to report the results of other testing in process within the next weeks which will be significant to NexPhase and our customers. "
According to the company, it is the first of its kind in Korea, acquired ISO 17025 for LM79 (illumination) and LM80 (LED) from the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme.
ISO 17025 is a qualification with which the tests required for Energy Star can be carried out independently.
With the certification, it can significantly avoid complicated procedures of contacting an overseas testing agency approved by the led linear high bay light, and save dozens of millions of won and 10 months or so of time.
