the consolidation of the Russian LED lighting market

Optogan is a manufacturer of LED components, LED lamps and LED luminaries. The company was established in Finland in 2004, and was acquired in 2008 by Onexim, a Russian financial group.

Moreover, the newly-founded Non-Profit Association of Russian LED Manufacturers, which had been established by competitive suppliers Optogan and Svetlana Optoelectronics, was likely to play an important role in the consolidation of the Russian LED lighting market.

Most of problems relating to Russia's emerging LED market were discussed at the fourth LED Forum Moscow, which would be conducted by Osram Opto Semiconductors and be held on November 10-11. Speakers were to analyze the trends in Russia's LED market, including the country's plans to establish domestic Russian LED production facilities. Philips and Rainbow Electronics would take place on November 11.

At present, Lighting Science's six LED products are sold at Home Depot Inc. Majority owned by private equity firm Pegasus Capital Advisors LP, Lighting Science, also plans to introduce in January a bulb that gives off about as much light as a 60-watt incandescent while using a fraction of the energy.
