LED lighting for vehicle mount and low voltage applications

XP-G LEDs extend the leadership of Cree’s lighting-class LED family, giving lighting designers a wide range of price and performance options that all share a common package footprint. The cool white XP-G LED is available now with order codes up to 139 lumens minimum at 350 mA and ANSI-compliant cool white bins (5000K – 8300K CCT) through the Cree distribution network.

Producing 4,320 lumens, this LED light emitter consists of 4 rows of 3 watt LEDs, each encapsulated in its own parabolic reflector. Two rows of the LED light produce visible light and the other two rows of LEDs produce infrared light. The LEDLB-24-VIR can be configured with 850nm infrared LEDs or 940nm infrared LEDs, depending on the night vision optics available. Individual power leads extend from the rear of the IP67 water and dust tight LED light fixture which can be connected to any voltage ranging from 9 volts to 32 volts DC. By doing so, the Magnalight LEDLB-24-VIR can be wired within the MRAP or MATV military vehicles to produce both visible and infrared lights. When the blackout system is activated, the visible lighting turns off and the infrared light continues.

Larson Electronics Magnalight offers a wide range of visible and LED lighting for vehicle mount and low voltage applications. Known for its HML-5M spotlight found in the Escalation of Force Kit and now the Vehicle Checkpoint Kit provided to deployed US soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Magnalight range of Buy American compliant LED lights, including the LEDLB-24 series and the LED10W-6R have found consistent application on military vehicles around the world.

The M-Vision Cine LED produces up to 600 lumens and 10,000:1 contrast. A quiet, compact chassis, the M-Vision Cine LED presents a powerful large-screen imaging solution in an affordable but precise chassis. Ideal M-Vision LED venues include theatrical viewing spaces with controlled ambient light with screens up to 8’ wide. When installed in such venues, the M-Vision Cine LED produces the dynamic range, rich color saturation and vivid contrast of a 3-chip DPL display, but from a smaller and more cost effective chassis. As the Cine LED does not incorporate a traditional lamp, media environments utilizing the new display will benefit from their Lifetime Illumination? 60,000+ hour lifespan. Additionally, the single-chip M-Vision Cine LED does not rely on a color wheel, which renders the projector completely free of the color wheel artifacts that some home theater enthusiasts find distracting.
