Competing to previously dominating standard discrete low power, mid power, and high power LED components, Chip-on-Board LEDs are predicted to take on a third of all LED A-lamp applications in 2011.This time, Everlight SSL is introducing different kinds of LED lighting fixtures for applications in outdoor street, commercial place, office, storage, parking lot and home.For outdoor street usage, it shows the second generation of Dolphin street lights with dimming function to save even more energy than with its original LED street lights. Everlight also provides a new LED street light which can change the outer shell of the fixture.For office and indoor use, Everlight provides a series of fixtures with T5 tubes and fixtures especially for tunnel or interior parking lots.
Moreover, Everlight also considers the design of fixtures in desk lamps by cooperating with DEM Design Inc. The resulting “Wing fun” is not only an energy saving LED desk lamp but also a decoration.It’s reported that Taiwan`s LED-lamp makers have benefited from the increasing consumption of LED lamps due to Japan catastrophe on March 11.According to Delta Electronics CEO Yancey Hai, the company`s LED-lamp shipments to Japan has a great increase after the disastrous earthquake. Delta has recently won orders from other Japanese buyers than Hitachi, which has been Delta`s foremost contract buyer in Japan.For Genesis Photonics, the company has landed contracts to supply LED-lighting equipment to a leading steelmaker in Japan, which is equipping its steel mills with high-power LED lamps for energy saving. It’s estimated to boost the company`s revenue for May to over NT$412 million recorded in April.

In terms of COB, the newly developed Chip Array COB technology employs exclusive mechanical design and unique material for improved cost.With a 15-20% more efficient COB the Chip Array COB features a luminous efficiency up to 150 lm/W and a 40% total cost reduction for customers’LED lighting solutions.The 6 and 12 watts exhibits are accompanied with a relevant driver solution for LED bulb, downlight, light tubes and various applications.In addition to the new technology, Lextar will exhibit a series of COB ranging from 4 to 70 watts, merit high color rendering index and a luminous efficiency up to 95 lm/W for warm-white color temperature.In LED package technology, Lextar announces its 3014 and 5630 packaging models with the high efficiency of 150 lm/W.
The excellence of this LED series comes from brightness improvements and enhancements throughout the in-house R&D and production process from epitaxial to chip to packaging. Lextar’s high efficiency technology demonstrates its vertical integration strength, and can compare with the top tier LED makers. This high-efficiency product can be applied to bulbs and light tubes at lower costs as fewer LED are required by increased brightness.The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition is the second largest lighting devices exhibition in Asia. It has been held for 16 years and this is the second time that Lextar has a presence there. The exhibition features very extensive contents: from LED technology, professional lighting, light source, lighting control system and production equipment and instruments for lighting devices. There were more than 2000 exhibitors from some 110 countries in last year’s show.
